Cerridwen, Goddess of inspiration
 
This is one of two Cerridwen pieces that I have for the Celtic Gods Collection. This one is based on the book by Kristopher Hughes @kristofferdruid Cerridwen, Goddess of Inspiration. In the background of this piece, you can see the lake Bala and its surrounding hills and mountains.  
 
Cerridwen is a Witch and Goddess, of wisdom, healing, herbs as well as the mysteries of the cauldron of rebirth, and the universe. She is a modern goddess whose story reaches back into the ancient past. She is a mother, a leader, a goddess and witch. And to be perfectly honest one of my favourites.
 
In this fabric tapestry she is situated by the shores of Lake Bala in Wales, with the hills in the background.  She has a cauldron with a galaxy reflected in its waters.  The symbol of a triskele is on this front in glittery silver and white. And an awen symbol on her tunic, with a crescent moon on her forehead.  I used the same glittery silver and white fabric throughout the piece to represent the moon and its reflection on lake Bala that is spoken about in Kristopher Huges book Cerridwen.   There is a chalice and three lit candles in gold, green and blue, again reflective of the colours of the OBOD tradition.  (Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids)  And of course a silver key so that you may open the doorway to learn about the wisdom of Cerridwen. Goddess of the Witches.  
 
These Stickers have been designed to fit on to a standard 7 day jar candle, as shown in the photo. and can also be used in a variety of other ways, such a journal, laptop, water bottles or where ever else you like to stick them.
